CLARA FONTANA ALVARO,
a
lifelong resident of Hackensack, died on Tuesday, January 15, 2008,
at the age of 91 years. Prior to retiring, she was an over lapper
for Goldberg Slipper Factory of Hackensack. She was a parishioner of
St. Francis R. C. Church of Hackensack. Beloved wife of the late
William Alvaro. Devoted mother of Sandra Smith of Homestead, FL,
William Alvaro and his wife Edona of Washington Township, Cynthia
Smith of Ashland, VA, and Arlene Schatz of Hackensack. Loving
grandmother of Cindy, Cherie, William, Mary Jo, Kara, Timothy,
Richard, Michael and Jennifer and 14 Great Grandchildren. The Mass
of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, January 19th, at
St. Francis R. C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack at 12:00 Noon
with burial following at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
Visiting will be on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
