JOHN A. AMORE,   of Hackensack , died on Sunday July 13, 2008 at the age of 97 years. He worked for 35 years as a supply Manager for the Hackensack Board of Education retiring in 1970. He was an Army Veteran of World War II who stormed the Beaches of Normandy, he was a member and former officer of the American Legion Captain Harry B. Doremus Post #55  in Hackensack for over 40 years, a member of the B.P.O Elks Lodge #658 of Hackensack and member of the Trinity Leisure Club and a parishioner of Holy Trinity R.C. Church in Hackensack. Beloved husband of the late Viola (nee Linhart) 1999. Dearest brother of Mary Polifrone of Hackensack, Vincent Amore and his wife Pat of South Carolina, Eleanor De Riso and her husband Carmen of Hackensack and the late Margaret Viggiano, Madeline Minnella and Catherine Traina. John is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 17th, at Holy Trinity R.C. Church , 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack at 11:00 AM with entombment following at Hackensack Cemetery .
