Elizabeth M. Pellegrino Cariello, of Auburn, New York, died on Thursday, August 17, 2006 at the age of 88 years. Born in Italy, she came to this country in 1920 and settled in Hoboken. She lived in Rochelle Park for many years prior to moving to Auburn, New York. She was a parishioner of the Church of the Sacred Heart of Rochelle Park. She was a home maker and loved her family. Predeceased by her husband, the late August Cariello who died in 1989, and a brother, Joseph Pellegrino, she is survived by her children. Dominic and Patricia Cariello of Hackensack, and Donna and Eugene Sabini of Skaneateles, New York, her grandchildren, Dianne and Dario, Colleen and Ken, Kevin and Ana, Lauren and Rob, and Lisa, her great grand daughter, Jessica, her brothers, Jack and Frances Pellegrino, and Salvatore Pellegrino, her sister, Lena Costa,  her sister in law, Rosa Pellegrino, her special nephew, Reverend Gabe Costa, who will celebrate her mass, a special cousin, Marie Mitro, and several other nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, August 21st. at 10:00 AM, at the Church of the Sacred Heart, 12 Terrace Avenue, Rochelle Park, with burial following at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. Visiting will be on Sunday from 3 - 5 and 7 - 9 PM.
