JOHN J. CARUSO, of Cliffside Park,  died on Thursday, January 14, 2010, at Hackensack University Medical Center, at the age of 69 years. Born in Teaneck, he lived in Elmwood Park prior to moving to Cliffside Park 18 years ago.  He worked as a stationary firemen at the Bergen County Jail for more than 25 years. Beloved husband of Elaine M. (nee Monaco). Devoted father of Salvatore Caruso of Palisades Park, John Caruso of Westwood, Christina Caruso of Cliffside Park and Allison Caruso of Cliffside Park. Cherished grandfather of Victor, Nicholas, Jake, and Anthony. Loving son of Christina (nee Dalia) and the late Salvatore Caruso. Dearest brother of Joseph Caruso and his wife Phyllis of Maywood. Adored uncle of many nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 18th, at Corpus Christi R. C. Church, Hasbrouck Heights at 11:00 AM with burial following at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Visiting will be on Sunday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
