VINCENZO COLOMBO,
of Hackensack, died
on Thursday November 19, 2009 at the age of 87. Born in Teggiano,
Italy, he came to the United States in 1968. Prior to retiring in
1984, he was a machine operator for Huyler Paper in Hackensack.
He
was a member of the St. Cono de Teggiano Society in Brooklyn and
a parishioner
of St. Francis R.C. Church in Hackensack.
Beloved
husband of Carmela (nee Babino) for 64 years. Loving father of
Antonio Colombo of Saddle Brook, Cono Colombo of Saddle Brook,
Francesco Colombo of Saddle Brook, Nunzio Colombo of Rochelle Park,
and Paul “Paolo” Colombo of Hackensack. Cherished grandfather of
nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and the Late Dino
Colombo. Dearest brother of Rosario and Domenico Colombo of Italy
and the late Giuseppe Colombo. He is also survived by several nieces
and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on
Saturday, November 21st, at St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi
Street. Hackensack, at 9:00 AM with entombment following at
St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Visiting will be on Friday
evening from 6 - 9 PM.
