Born in Alia, Palermo, Sicily, he came to this country in 1964 settling in Hackensack.  Prior to retiring, he worked for NJ Transit Rail of Wood Ridge as a railroad track worker. Beloved husband for 43 years of Maria Italia (nee Figliomeni). Devoted father of Jack Di Carlo and his wife Rosanna of Saddle Brook and Vito Di Carlo and his wife Alissa of Hillsdale. Loving grandfather of Stephanie, Vito Jr. Gabriella, and Matthew. Dearest brother of Pasquale Di Carlo and his wife Donna of Ridgefield Park, Sebastiana Maria Cardella and her husband Vincenzo of Hackensack and the late Anthony Di Carlo.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celecrated on Wednesday January 13th, at St. Francis R. C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack at 11:00 AM. with entombment following at Hackensack Cemetery. Visiting will be Tuesday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
