SYLVIA MARIA PIEDRAHITA VELEZ FORERO, of Hackensack, died on Thursday, October 14, 2010, at the age of 62. Sylvia was a committed Social Worker, Activist and Volunteer, who worked for various agencies throughout her career. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, of Hackensack. Sylvia was a very giving person, who made it her life's mission to help the less fortunate. She is survived by her husband Jimmy Forero Sr., of Hackensack. She was the loving mother of James Forero, his wife Catherine, and their children Ryan and Nicolette. Loving  mother to Patricia Liso, husband Joseph and their children, Pamela and Joseph.  Dearest sister to Alvaro Piedrahita and wife Rocio, beloved brother Sergio, brother Ivan Piedrahita and wife Pilar, sister Jeannette Hand and husband Jeffrey.  She is reunited with her late sister, Paula Wiley.  She was the cherished aunt to several nieces and nephews Visiting will be on Friday evening from 7 – 9 PM at the funeral home.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday October 23rd, at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack.
