VIRGINIA A. BIRKS GAMBLE, of Maywood, died on Monday, December 3, 2007, at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck at the age of 83 years. She was born in San Francisco, California and lived in Maywood for more than 50 years. Prior to retiring, she was a bookkeeper for the County of Bergen Volunteer Center in Hackensack. She is survived by her daughter Mary Eleanor Gamble of Maywood, and a sister, Barbara Hill of Brick Township. Private funeral service was held with burial in George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. Memorial donations to either the ALS Foundation for the Arthritis Foundation would be appreciated.
