FRANK GIURLEO, of South Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 21, 2011, at the age of 85 years. Born in Hackensack, he lived in South Hackensack for 62 years. Prior to retiring, he was a general contractor and owned the Frank Giurleo Company of South Hackensack. He also was a sub contractor for Sun Oil Company of Newark for many years. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a Volunteer for South Hackensack Fire Company # 2, served as the South Hackensack Fire Inspector and also was a fire instructor. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Trinity Council # 747 of Hackensack.  Beloved husband for 64 years of Jennie (nee Di Pasquale). Devoted father of Maria Rizzo and her late husband Joseph of Toms River, Frank Giurleo and his wife Gae of Hackensack, and Juliann Giurleo of San Diego, California. Loving grandfather of Michelle, Kenneth, Jesse, Jason, Derrick, Daniel, and Brian. Cherished great grandfather of Tara and Jessica. The funeral on Tuesday, October 25th at 8:45 AM, from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Trinity R. C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack at 10:00 AM with entombment following at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
