GRACE L. CONYERS HEURER,
of River
Edge, died on Thursday, September 24, 2009, at her home, at the age
of 100 years. Born in Hackensack, she lived in River Edge for more
than 50 years. She was a graduate of Paterson State Teacher's
College and prior to retiring, she taught third grade for the
Maywood Board of Education for 38 years. She was a member of the New
Jersey Education Association and the National Education Association.
She also was a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Paramus
where she belonged to the Episcopal Church Women. Beloved wife of
the late L. Taylor Heuer. Devoted grandmother of Bruce Heuer, Wendy
Heuer, and Scott Heuer and her great grandchildren. Dearest aunt of
Douglas Nobbs, Nancy Minor, and Jean Nobbs. The funeral
service on Tuesday, September 29th, at St. Matthew's Episcopal
Church, Paramus at 10:00 AM with urial following at George
Washington Memorial Park. Visiting will be on Monday afternoon from
3 - 5 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Matthew's
Episcopal Church, 167 Spring Valley Road, Paramus, NJ 07652 would be
appreciated.
