THERESA M. JOHNSON "TERRY", (nee Mayo), a lifelong resident of Hackensack, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 30, 2011, at the age of 79 years. Prior to retiring she was a secretary for the Housing Authority of Hackensack. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity R. C. Church, a member of the Rosary Society and the Trinity Leisure Club. Beloved wife for 56 years of John J. Johnson. Devoted mother of Lee Anne Greene and her husband Stuart of Pomona, NY, Karen M. Johnson of Hackensack, and John R. Johnson and his wife Jeanne of Montebello, NY. Cherished grandmother of John, Matthew, Joanna, Hailee, and Theo. Dearest sister of Rosemarie Mayo of Hackensack and the late Jerome Mayo and John Mayo. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 2nd, at 11:30 AM at Holy Trinity R. C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack with burial following at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. The family will receive friends at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
