Vasilios Lazaris, 98, of Hackensack, died on Wednesday, January 25, 2006, at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck. He was born in Kalamata, Greece and came to this country in 1950. Retiring in 1985, he was a chef at the Clinton Inn of Tenafly where he worked for more than 35 years. He was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Ascension of Fairview. Predeceased by his brother Stamatis Lazaris, he is survived by two nephews, James Lazaris and his wife Anne of Mt. Laurel and John Lazaris of Hackensack, and a niece, Jo Ann Korbakis of Athens, Greece. Burial was held at Maple Grove Park Cemetery in Hackensack. A memorial service will be held at a future date.
