WILLIAM
A. 'DOC' MANIA, a
life long resident of Hackensack, died on Saturday, September 6,
2008, at his home, at the age of 91 years. Prior to retiring in
1980, he worked at Johnson Outboard Motors of Paramus. He was a
parishioner of St. Francis R. C. Church of Hackensack. and past
president and member of the Society of Santa Croce Cammarina. An
Army Veteran of World War II he was a member of the Harry B. Doremus
American Legion Post of Hackensack. He was an avid golfer and was a
longtime member of Wayne Country Club. Predeceased by his wife the
late Santina " Sandy" (nee Giglio) Mania, and two
brothers, John Mania and Sam Mania, he is survived by his son,
William A. Mania Jr. and his wife Diane formerly of Little Ferry,
his daughter Beverly Grecco and her husband Steve of Hackensack, and
his grandsons, Stephen Grecco and his wife Cheryl and Michael Mania
and his fiancé Rosa Lasurdo. The Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated on Thursday, September 11th. at St. Francis R. C. Church,
50 Lodi Street, Hackensack, at 10:00 AM with burial following at
Hackensack Cemetery. Visiting will be on Tuesday from 7 - 9 PM and
Wednesday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
