ALLEN MECCIA, died peacefully on Saturday, June 12, 2010, surrounded by his loving family, at Select Hospital and Rehabilitation Center in Rochelle Park, at the age of 81 years. Born in Garfield, he lived in Woodcliff Lake prior to living in Saddle River for 19 years. In 2002, he co-founded

and was a partner of First Bergen Title Agency LLC, of Hackensack. Previously, he worked for 39 years and was the manager of Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company of Hackensack. He was a member of the American Land Title Association and the New Jersey Land Title Association. Serving his country in the National Guard, he was an avid Yankee fan, loved his work, and lived for his family. He was a parishioner of St. Francis R. C. Church of Hackensack. Beloved husband for 56 years of the late Marie J. Mandara Meccia who died on May 13, 2010. Devoted father of  Jean Meccia of Saddle River, Allen J. Meccia and his wife Helen of River Edge, Susanne Meccia of Saddle River and the late Diane Meccia. Loving grandfather of Katie, A.J., Nicholas, and Emily. Dearest brother of James Meccia and his wife Beryl of Mahwah, Barbara Krankowski and her husband Ronald of Henderson, Nevada, and the late Walter Meccia.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 17th, at St. Francis R. C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack at 11:00 AM with burial following at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Hackensack. Visiting will be on Tuesday from 7 - 9 PM and Wednesday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
