DONALD J. MONACCHIO, of South Hackensack, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at Hackensack Hospital Hospice, at the age of 62 years. He was the manager at Hudson United Glass of Hackensack. He served his country in the United States Army in the 10th Infantry during the Vietnam War obtaining the rank of Sergeant and being the recipient of the Bronze Star. Beloved son of the late John and Antoinette Squillace Monacchio.  Devoted father of John B. Monacchio and his wife Kristin of Elmwood Park. Dearest brother of John A. Monacchio and his wife Beverly of Wayne, Mary Therese Ryder and her husband Michael of West Deptford, Peter R. Monacchio and his wife Mary of Rochelle Park and the late Donna  Monacchio. Cherished uncle of Michael, Timothy, Peter, John, Danielle, and Melinda. Loving nephew of Rose Stavola and her husband John of Hackensack, and Eleanor Squillace of Boca Raton, Florida. Adored sweetheart of Ligia Fernandez and her family. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 11th,.at Holy Trinity R. C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack, at 11:00 AM with burial following at St. Joseph's Cemetery .Visiting will be on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
