LUIS
A. MONROY, of
Manahawkin, formerly of
Bergenfield
, died on Tuesday April 21, 2009 at his home, at the age of 77. He
was born in
Colombia
and came to the
United States
in 1960. Before retiring in 1999 he owned and operated Monroy
Machine Company in
Midland Park
,
NJ
for over 27 years. Beloved husband of 56 years to Emma L. (nee
Leon
).
Loving father of Astrid Mamatz and her husband Dennis, Luis A. Monroy Jr.
and Laurie Razen, Muriel Conway, Hamlet Monroy and his wife Veronica
and Amilcar Monroy and his wife Maureen. Cherished grandfather of
Tracy
and her husband Tristan, Stephen, Brynn, Kelly, Tyler,
Devon
, Matthew, Christy and Lexy. Great-grandfather of Lucas. Dearest
brother of Miguel Monroy, Carmen De Leon, Alvira Monroy and the late
Yocasta Monroy and Amilcar Monroy. Luis is also survived by many
nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 25th, at
Holy
Trinity
R.C.

, at 10:00 AM. A private cremation will follow. Visiting will be on
