Giuseppe Oliveri,
of Little Ferry, died on Tuesday, October 10, 2006, at his home,
at the age of 71 years. He was born in Barretteri, Italy and came to
this country in 1968. He owned Oliveri's Food Emporium of Little Ferry
for eight years and prior to that he owned Joe's Supermarket of
Garfield for more than 20 years. He was a parishioner of St. Margaret
of Cortona R. C. Church of Little Ferry. He is survived by his
wife of 42 years, Concetta Arena Oliveri, his children, Carmelo and
Tina Oliveri of Paramus, Maria (Pina) and Maurizio Canino of
Morristown, and Rosanna and Simone Levato of Morristown, his grandchildren,
Leonardo, Giuseppe, Giovanna, Joseph, Julia and Giuseppe. his sister
Anna and Giuseppe Bagnato of Hackensack, and four brothers, Antonio
and Maria Oliveri of Hackensack, Lorenzo and Lina Oliveri of Monroe,
NY, Francesco and Cathy Oliveri of Hackensack, and Fortunato and Maria
Oliveri of Saddle Brook. The funeral on Friday, October 13th at 9:00
AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret of Cortona
R. C. Church, 31 Chamberlain Avenue, Little Ferry, at 10:30 AM.
Entombment Hackensack Cemetery. The family will receive friends on
Wednesday from 7 - 9 PM and Thursday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. In lieu of
flowers memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 20 Mercer
Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601 would be appreciated.
