Sergeant Vincenzo Romeo, United
States Army, of Lodi, formerly of Fairview, died on
Sunday, May 6, 2007, in
Diyala Province, Iraq, at
the age of 23 years.
He was born in Oppido, Reggio Calabria, Italy, and came to this
country in 1986. He joined the Army in 2003.
He
is survived by his parents, Antonio and Saveria (nee Bagnato) Romeo of
Lodi, his
fiancé,
Amanda
Anderson of Tacoma, Washington, two brothers Bruno Romeo
and his wife Taline of Waldwick and Carmelo Romeo and his fiancée Rei
Ozawa of Lodi,
his
niece, Isabella Rose. his
grandmother, Concetta Putrino, of Reggio Calabria, Italy, his aunt and
uncle Josephine and Vincent Bagnato of Allendale, and many aunts
and uncles in Italy and special cousin to Bridget, Vincent and
Carmelo Bagnato, all of Allendale. The funeral on Saturday, May
12th at 8:30 AM from the funeral home, with the Mass of
Christian Burial following at St. Joseph's R. C. Church, 40 Spring
Street, Lodi at 10:00 AM. Entombment will be in George Washington
Memorial Park. Visiting will be on Friday from 3 - 5 and 7 - 9 PM.
