Anthony
Ruta, of South Hackensack, died on Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at his
home, at the age of 78 years. Born in Capriglia, Italy he came to this
country 55 years ago settling in South Hackensack. He retired as a
machinist for Sier Bath Gear Company of North Bergen, where he worked
for more than 25 years. He was a volunteer for the South Hackensack
Fire Dept. Company # 2, a member of the South Hackensack Senior
Citizens and a parishioner of St. Francis R. C. Church of Hackensack.
Beloved husband for 59 years of Faustina (nee Picariello). Devoted
father of Rose Garofalo and her husband Gary of Goshen, NY, Anthony
"Perry" Ruta and his wife Lynn of Maywood, and Mary Giordano
and her husband Angelo of Paramus. Cherished grandfather of Jeffrey
Garofalo, Jessica Beattie and her husband Johnson, Jason Ruta, Allison
Ruta, Michael Villanova and Mark Villanova. Adored great grandfather
of Aine Beattie. Dearest brother of Mario Ruta and his wife Marie of
Little Ferry and Ada Sanseverino and her husband Giovanni of
Hackensack. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday,
June 9, 2007,at 10:00 AM, at St. Francis R. C. Church, 50 Lodi Street,
Hackensack, Reverend Anthony Guidice officiating, with burial
following at George Washington Memorial Park. Visiting will be
on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM
