JOSEPHINE D. SABINO,
(nee
Yanni) of Lodi, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday,
January 5, 2012, at the age of 93 years. Born in Hackensack where
she grew up, she spent most of her adult life in Lodi. Prior to
retiring she worked in many factories throughout her life, first as
a seamstress and then finally in Faberge. She was a member of the
Lodi Senior Club and the Lodi AARP Chapter. She was a parishioner of
St. Francis de Sales R. C. Church of Lodi. Devoted daughter of the
late Carmine and Vincenza Putrino Yanni, Beloved wife of the late
Anthony Sabino. Dearest sister of James Yanni of Park Ridge and the
late Concetta Van Wettering, Kate Moran Carlton, Dominic Yanni and
Ann Bell. Loving step mother of Marilyn Kuhles (David) of River
Edge, and Anthony Sabino Jr. (Arlene) of Allendale. Cherished
grandmother of David J. Kuhles II (Stacy Spadaccini), Anthony V.
Sabino, Crystal Sabino, Tina Kuhles, Jeffrey Sabino (Beth), A. Joseph
Sabino, Francine Sabino Abel (Travis) and six great grandchildren
Jordan Sabino, David J. Kuhles III, Nick Spadaccini, Rosalie Kuhles
Wilson, Haley Sabino and Charles Kuhles. Dear sister in law of Helen
Grippo of Englewood. Adored aunt of Henry Van Wettering (Donna) of
Arkansas, Rain Bear Mahoney (Tom) of Pennsylvania, Brodie Moran
(Donna) of Pennsylvania, Brenda Yanni (the late Dan Fietkiewicz) of
Hewitt, James Charles Yanni (Lucy Knapp) of Missouri, and Robert
Bell (Laurie) of North Carolina and great aunt of Michelle Mahoney
Beck (Ned), Michael Mahoney, James Michael Knapp, Eva Bell ,
Patrick Van Wettering, Henry Van Wettering, Mark Van Wettering,
John Van Wettering, Jodie Van Wettering, Mary Ellen Van Wettering,
Lorraine Van Wettering, and Henry George Van Wettering III. Dear
cousin of Nicholas Albanese of Hackensack, Connie Malagiere (Al) of
Hackensack, and Marie Pezzimenti (Frank) of Maywood. Also survived
by Meri of Georgia and Elizabeth Quinn, her warm and affectionate
care givers. She will be mourned and missed by all of us. The
funeral on Thursday, January 12th, at 10:00 AM from the G. Thomas
Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. The Mass of
Christian Burial at St. Francis de Sales R. C. Church, 125 Union
Street, Lodi at 11:00 AM with entombment following at St. Joseph's
Cemetery in Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Wednesday
from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. The family requests, that in lieu of
flowers a memorial donation to the Lodi Ambulance Corp, 72 Kimmig
Avenue, Lodi, NJ 07644 would be appreciated.
