GEORGE SAFIROWSKI,
of Hackensack, passed away from his long battle with
cancer on Tuesday, April 12, 2011. George owned and operated
CPS-Stamping Corp. in South Hackensack for over 40 years. His
company became a leader in quality, service and dependability and
manufactured stamped metal parts for the electronic, semiconductor
and microcircuit industries. Several of George’s products can be
found wandering across the surface of Mars, but he is best
remembered for his activity within the Diving community. He taught
all levels of scuba diving, published many articles, received the
highest NAUI outstanding contribution to diving award and was an
active supporter of Public Safety with local and international
Police and Fire departments. George is survived by his wife of 10
years Cornelia Püschel, his son Mark Safirowski and his mother
Janina Safirowski.
A
memorial service will be held on Saturday April 23rd from
11:00AM – 1:00PM at the Hilton Woodcliff Lake “Solarium” room, 200
Tice Boulevard, Woodcliff Lake, NJ 07677. In lieu of flowers a fund
is being set up for the ongoing Ocean Reef Protection Project in the
Bahamas and/ or Bonaire. Contributions (made payable to: Janina
Safirowski) can be made at the place of the memorial Service or
