MARY A. GAROFANO SANZARI,
of Hackensack, died on Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at Hackensack
University Medical Center, at the age of 90 years. Born in Paterson,
she lived in Hackensack for 70 years. Prior to retiring, she and her
husband co-founded Alfred Sanzari
Enterprises of Hackensack. She was a parishioner of Church of the
Immaculate Conception of Hackensack. Beloved wife of the late Alfred
N. Sanzari. Devoted mother of Alfred Sanzari and his wife Patti, Ben
Sanzari and his wife Karina, and David Sanzari and his wife Joni all
of Saddle River. Loving grandmother of Mari Jo Appello and her
husband Robert, Delisa Sanzari, Benita Raia and her husband Samuel,
Melissa Stevens and her husband William, Dana Jareck and her husband
Ryan, Lisa Sanzari, Ryan Sanzari, Alfred Louis Sanzari, and Carl
Villegas. Cherished great grandmother of Robbie and Joey Appello,
Gabriella, Olivia and Samantha Raia, and Reagan Olivia Jareck. The
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February
27th, at Church of the Immaculate Conception, 49 Vreeland Avenue,
Hackensack, at 10:00 AM with entombment following at St. Joseph's
Cemetery. Hackensack. Visiting will be on Friday from 2 - 5 and 7 -
9 PM. Memorial donations to HUMC for Joseph M. Sanzari Children's
