JOHN J. SARAPUCHIELLO  SR. , 97 of Hackensack . died on Sunday July 15, 2007, at his home surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local # 15 Hackensack , for 70 years, a lifetime of a craft he truly loved, he was a true artisan. Beloved husband of Frances (nee Calabrese) for 71 Years. Devoted father of Janet Shaffer and her husband Donald, Michael Sarapuchiello and his wife Aline, Nicholas Sarapuchiello and his wife Marion, Rose Pifer and John Sarapuchiello Jr. Loving grandfather of Lori Shaffer, Denise Pifer, Stefanie Sarapuchiello, Michael Sarapuchiello and Nicole Sarapuchiello.  Cherished great grandfather of Derek Sarapuchiello, Kyla Sarapuchiello and Abigail Hammond. Dearest brother of Josephine Guerrera, Michael Sarapuchiello and Phyllis DelVecchio. John is also survived by many nieces, nephews and a special caregiver Ms. Mira. The funeral Service will be held on Thursday July 19, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with entombment following at Hackensack Cemetery , Hackensack . Visiting will be on Wednesday from 2 – 4 and 7 - 9 PM Memorial donations to the Hospice Program at Hackensack University Medical Center 30 Prospect Avenue, Hackensack , NJ 07601 would be greatly appreciated.
