Alice
M. McCarthy Shaw,
of Hackensack, died on Thursday, July 12, 2007, at her home, at
the age of 91 years. She was born in Newark and prior to retiring in
1986, she was a Licensed Practical Nurse for Hackensack University
Medical Center. Alice was a long time parishioner of Holy Trinity R.
C. Church of Hackensack where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and
was a member of the Rosary Society and the Trinity Leisure Club.
Predeceased by her husband George Shaw who died in 2002, and two
daughters, Mary Bahnsen and Susan Symonds, she is survived by three
daughters, Betsy Bacheda of Ridgefield Park, Barbara Buckridge of
Mahwah, and Cindy Diana of Wilmington, Delaware, 10 grandchildren and
7 great grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held on Monday, July
16, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity R. C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue,
Hackensack. Memorial donations to the Hospice Program at Hackensack
University Medical Center, 30 Prospect Avenue, Hackensack, NJ
07601 would be appreciated.
