RUSSELL L. SLACK, of Hackensack, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2011.  Born in Union City, he lived in Hackensack for 38 years. Prior to retiring, he was a manager for Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company of Lodi where he worked for 27 years. He also was an Evangelical Minister at the Church of the Nazarene of Hasbrouck Heights. Beloved husband for 37 years of Barbara Hedges-Slack. Devoted father of Lyndsey Slack of Hackensack. Jeffrey Slack and his wife Tracey of Pequea, PA, and Tracy Slack of Lancaster, PA. Loving grandfather of Shawna, Melissa, Jason, Kayla, and Matthew. Dearest brother of the late Ralph Slack and Gerard Slack. Prayer service on Tuesday, November 22nd at 10:00 AM, at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack with burial following at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
