VINCENT D. SPANO,
of Hackensack, formerly of River
Edge and Jersey City, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2012, at
the age of 65 years. Vincent proudly served his country as a member
of the Army National Guard for 5 years during the Vietnam War. He
worked as a Starter at the Orchard Hills Golf Course in Paramus for
6 years, previously, he was a Distributor and Liquor salesman for R
& R Liquors in West Caldwell, and also as Golf Pro for Haworth
Country Club. He was a former member of the Professional Golfers
Association, and a parishioner of St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church
in River Edge. Beloved husband for 31 years of Arlene F. (nee
Brady). Devoted son of Mildred Formato Spano and the late Joseph
Spano. Loving father of Vincent Spano of Hackensack. Dearest brother
of Joseph Spano and his wife Eileen, Peter Spano and his wife Rose
and Gail Quinn and her husband Colin. Vincent also leaves behind
numerous nieces, nephews and many close friends. The Funeral on
Friday, January 27, at 8:45 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral
Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ. The Mass of Christian Burial
will be celebrated 10:00 AM at St. Peter The Apostle R.C Church, 445
Fifth Avenue, River Edge, with burial following at George Washington
Memorial Park Cemetery, Paramus. The family will receive friends on
Thursday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM. In lieu of flowers please make
