ABELSIER
GIUSEPPE SPIOTTA, of Hackensack,
died on Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at his home, at the age of 88 years.
Born in Valva, Salerno, Italy, he came to this co0untry in 1970
settling in Astoria, New York and has lived in Hackensack for 25
years. Prior to retiring, he worked at Manganaro Hero Boy of New York
City. He was a parishioner of St. Francis R. C. Church of Hackensack.
Beloved husband for 68 years of Betulia (nee Curatolo) Spiotta.
Devoted father of Gerardo Spiotta and his wife Carmela of Orangeburg,
New York, Maria Di Leone and her husband Gerardo of Hackensack, and
Rocco Spiotta and his wife Lucy of Whitestone, New York. Cherished
grandfather of Lilla, Rocco, Milena, Joseph, Giuseppe, Enza, and
Rocky. Dearest brother of Rafaella Feniello and her husband Michele of
Franklin Square, Long Island, Felice Spiotta and his wife
Giuseppina of Avellino, Italy, and Grazia Spiotta of Marsielles,
France. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May
22nd, at St. Francis R. C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack, at
11:00 AM with entombment following at St. Mary's Cemetery in Saddle
Brook. Visiting will be on Wednesday evening from 7 - 9 PM and
Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
