William
F. Stanton, of Kunkeltown, PA, formerly of Maywood and
Bronx, NY, died on Tuesday, December 5, 2006, at the Pocono
Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, at the age of 71 years.
Prior to retiring he worked for Building Services of New York at the
front desk and doorman. He served in the New York Army National Guard
from 1957 - 1963. He was a parishioner of Queen of Peace Church of
Gilbert, Pennsylvania and a member of the American Legion Post of
Gilbert, Pennsylvania. He is survived by his wife, Elsie (Pat) Kelly
Stanton, , his children, William Stanton of Newark, Jeanne Stanton of
Carmel, New York, Michael Kelly of Cape Coral, Florida, Patricia
McNamara of Maywood, NJ, Kathleen O'Connell of Middletown, NY and John
Kelly of Cape Coral, Florida, and his grandchildren, Billy, Denise,
Kathy, Michael, Tracy, Kelly, Ann, Joey, Kevin, Erin and Sean. He was
predeceased by his first wife Susanne Stanton who died in 1989. The Mass
of Christian Burial will be offered at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in
Maywood on Saturday at 9:30 AM with burial following at Gate of Heaven
Cemetery in Valhalla, New York. Visiting is on Friday from 3 - 5 and 7 -
9 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at the American Legion Post
# 927, Route 209 and Fairgrounds Road, Gilbert, Pennsylvania on
Tuesday evening, December 12, 2006, at 7:00 PM.
