George
E. Toriello,
of Glen Rock, formerly of Hackensack, died on Sunday, March 25,
2007, at the age of 90 years. Prior to retiring, he was the
Superintendent of the Roseland Department of Public Works. Prior to
that he had worked for Toriello Construction Company of Hackensack. An
Army Air Corp Veteran of World War II, he was a parishioner of St.
Francis R. C. Church of Hackensack and a member of The Socialites of
Hackensack. Predeceased by his wives, Betty Bixler Toriello who died
in 1957, and Freda Mustachio Toriello who died in 1991 he is survived
by two sons, George Toriello and his wife Karen , and Robert Toriello
and his wife Tanya all of California, two daughters, Bette Karoly and
her husband Dennis of Glen Rock and Laura Toriello of Las Vegas his
grandchildren, Christopher, Bonnie, Dawn, Jason and Patricia, a
brother Fred Toriello, two sisters, Angie Scilleri and Evelyn Fazio,
nieces and nephews, and his beloved sweetheart, Terry Dey of
Hackensack. He was also predeceased by two brothers, Joseph Toriello
and Palmer Toriello. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on
Friday, March 30, 2007, at 11:00 AM at St. Francis R. C. Church, 50
Lodi Street, Hackensack with burial following at St. Joseph's Cemetery
in Hackensack, Visiting will be on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
