Carmela Bonfiglio Tripodi, peacefully
passed into God's loving arms on Saturday, June 16, 2007, at the age
of 83 years, surrounded by her devoted family. Born on November 16,
1923, at Pellegrina, Reggio Calabria, Italy, she came to this
country in 1950 settling in Hackensack. She returned to Italy in
1959 and came back to this country in 1978 settling in South
Hackensack. She was devoted to Padre Pio and was a parishioner
of St. Francis R. C. Church of Hackensack. Predeceased by her
beloved husband Giuseppe Tripodi who died in 1964, she is the
cherished mother of Catherina C. D'Amico and her husband Antonino of
South Hackensack, adored grandmother of Jerry D'Amico and his wife
Nancy of South Hackensack, and Joe D'Amico of South Hackensack,
dearest sister of Santo Bonfiglio and his wife Rosa of France and
loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. The funeral on Thursday,
June 21st at 8:45 AM, from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397
Union Street, Hackensack. The Mass of Christian Burial at St.
Francis R. C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack, at 10:00 AM.
Entombment Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee. The family will receive
friends on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
