Sammie K. Work Sr., of Paterson, died on Monday, September 25, 2006, at St. Joseph's  Medical Center in Paterson at the age of 76 years. Prior to retiring 10 years ago, he was the Store Manager for Pathmark of Fair Lawn. Previously he served as Store Manager for Shop Rite of Paramus and Shop Rite of Rochelle Park. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Clifton Lodge # 203 F & AM. He is survived by his companion Yvonne Hale of Paterson, four sons, Keith and Linda Work of Elmwood Park, Ronald Work of Park Ridge, Gregory and Sheryl Work of Fair Lawn and Sammie K. Work of Paterson, a sister Marilyn Foster of Nashville, Tennessee,  three brothers, Wayne and Margie Work of Denver, Colorado, Macon and Peggy Work of Mayfield, Kentucky,  Jerry and Jan Work of Zephyrhills, Florida, and six grandchildren, Brian, Keith, Ryan, Corey, Julia and Alexander. He was predeceased by his brother Jessie Work and a brother in law, Jerry Foster. Prayers will be said on Thursday evening at 8:00 PM, Reverend Brian H. Tomlinson officiating. Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Memorial donations to the American Heart Association, 2550 US Highway 1, North Brunswick, NJ would be appreciated.
