Felicia
Cutrone Zakauskas, of Hackensack, died on Monday, August 21,
2006, at her home, at the age of 83 years. Born in New York City, she
was raised in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, New York. She
graduated from the Bellevue School of Nursing and later received a
baccalaureate and a master's degree from Teacher's College, Columbia
University. She retired as a school nurse from the Hackensack Public
School System. In 1987, her friendship with the Colbachini Family of
Padua, Italy, enabled her to help the Beaver Meadow School in Concord,
New Hampshire acquire a custom-forged School Bell from the world's
second-oldest bell foundry. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity R. C.
Church of Hackensack. She is survived by her husband of 62 years,
Raymond Zakauskas, two sons, Dr. Raymond Zakauskas, a surgeon in Tulsa,
Oklahoma, and Jeffrey Zakauskas, a Managing Director at JP Morgan in New
York City, her daughter, children's book author Felicia Zakauskas,
of Hackensack and six grandchildren. The Mass of Christian Burial will
be offered on Friday, August 25th, at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity R. C.
Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack. The interment will be private.

Americas, New York, New York 10011 would be appreciated.
