Angelina
Pelligra Zisa,
of Hackensack, died on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at Hackensack
University Medical Center at the age of 88 years. She was born in
Paterson, New Jersey to the late Salvatore and Antoinette Pelligra.
She worked for the Barbizon Lingerie Company of Paterson. A longtime
resident of Hackensack, she was a member of St. Francis R. C. Church.
She dedicated her life to her family. Her home was where family and
friends gathered to partake of the extraordinary food she cooked. Her
other great talent was sewing. She was an outstanding seamstress. Her
sense of humor and storytelling skills were enchanting. She will be missed
greatly by those who were lucky enough to have known her. Her
"smile" will be in our memories forever. Predeceased by her
husband Anthony Zisa Sr. and a brother Joseph Pelligra, she is
survived by her devoted daughter Frances, and a son Anthony Jr. and
his wife Gail. She was the beloved grandmother of Diane, Michael and
Joseph. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday,
February 19, 2007, at St. Francis R. C. Church, 50 Lodi Street,
Hackensack with entombment following at Hackensack Cemetery. Visiting
will be on Sunday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
