Obituary of Domenica Tripodi

DOMENICA SQUILLACE TRIPODI, "Mica", of Little Ferry passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at the age of 90 years. Mica was born in Pellegrina, Italy. In 1947, she voyaged with her mother and sisters to the United States, waiting and embracing them were her father and brother. She worked as a seamstress in Hackensack, and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She loved plants, cooking, her family, and all her friends. Mica was a parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church, Hackensack. Beloved wife of the late Rocco Tripodi for 60 years who passed away in 2014. Loving mother of Joseph Tripodi. Cherished grandmother of Rocco, Jenna, Mikki, Joey and Becca. Dearest sister of the late Carmelo Squillace and his wife Mickey, Carmella Scordo and her late husband Frank, and Rose Scordo and her late husband Paul. Devoted aunt of Jean and her husband Tony, Rosemarie and her husband Tom, Angela and her late husband Robert, Rosie and her husband Bill, Roseann, Joe and his wife Fran, and Frank and his wife Joann. The funeral on Friday, October 30th, at 8:45 AM from the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack with entombment following at Fairview Mausoleum, Fairview, NJ. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-9 PM.
